The University of Michigan Health-West Grand Rapids Marathon is West Michigan’s fall running tradition—a grassroots race “for runners, by runners.” Now entering its 22nd year, it draws nearly 5,000 participants across a weekend of events including the Marathon, Half Marathon, Marathon Relay, 5K, 10K, and the popular Kids Marathon.
The event is uniquely tied to Grand Rapids culture, with the Run Thru The Rapids 5K & 10K supporting YMCA Camp Manitou-Lin.
